This 1U LCD keyboard drawer comes with built in 17” 1280 x 1024 LCD monitor, keyboard, touch pad, and 8-port KVM over IP switch.

The KDI8178 is a monitor keyboard drawer that includes a 17 inch (1280 x 1024) LCD panel and has an active type digital to digital which connects to the on board conversion board. The LCD monitor comes with standard 15 pin VGA connector on the back of the rack mount drawer for the user’s PC system connection, while the OSD function, which is located on the front of the LCD monitor, lets you adjust the LCD monitor to be tilted to up to a 90 degree horizontal angle for the best view. The auto shut off function enables the monitor drawer to go back to its rest position when it is not being used and allows the LCD monitor to save battery life.

The PS/2 type keyboard and touch pad are mounted on the front of the rack mount drawer underneath the LCD monitor and come with standard PS/2 type connector on the back of the rack mount drawer for the user’s PC system connection. The slim type, notebook sized keyboard comes with function keys and key pad function.

The KDI8178 is a low profile 1U drawer that saves rack space and comes with an integrated LCD monitor, keyboard and pointing device all in a complete unit. The ball bearing slide rail is mounted on the each side of the drawer so that the user can pull the drawer out from the 19" rack cabinet. The thumb locker is installed on the front panel to lock the drawer inside the rack when the monitor keyboard drawer is not being used.

Acnodes provides the KVM over IP switch function for the user’s unique hardware applications. The KVM over IP switch is built into the keyboard drawer and provides 8 KVM ports on the back of the drawer. The KVM over IP technology allows the user to access the server remotely through the internet IP address by any JAVA based browser. The user can connect the KVM switch to the internet through the rear built in RJ-45 port. The user can also select the servers through the OSD (on screen display) menu or front hot key buttons locally. It supports hot plug function and comes standard with 6' high-density KVM cable for each individual KVM port.

The KVM switch comes with proprietary high density KVM cable, 1-15pin connector for KVM over IP switch, and 3 connectors (1-VGA port, 2 -PS/2 ports) for the stations. Other options like 10' and 15' KVM cable are also available for certain configurations. The KDI8178 comes with 110/220VAC auto switch external power adapter and is ready to mount into the standard 19" rack cabinet, which can be extended up to 30.51" deep for the rack server cabinet.
